Join us on Wednesday, April 19, from 10 am to 12 pm at Direct. Employers will be hiring for entry-level positions. We are limiting attendance, so job seekers must pre-register to help us maintain COVID protocols.

Employment First means everyone deserves the right to have real jobs for real wages. The Association of People Supporting Employment First (APSE) is the advancement of Employment First, which is a national initiative that promotes competitive employment in an integrated setting.

Disability Employment Awareness Month
Did you know that the employment rate for individuals with disabilities is 44.6% lower than their nondisabled peers? In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month during October, we are highlighting one way we are bringing justice to the lack of employment for people with disabilities.
An Accessible Job Fair
We are excited to announce that we are hosting an accessible hiring event on Wednesday, 09/21/22, from 9 am to 12 pm. Employers scheduled to attend include Jim Click Automotive Group, El Conquistador Resort, JW Marriott Resort, Old Pueblo Community Services, TJX Companies (Homegoods, Marshalls, and TJ Maxx), and JP Industries.
Linkages Greater Focus on Advocacy
Linkages was founded in 1997 and was a non-profit until 3 years ago when it became a program at Direct Advocacy & Resource Center (Direct). Direct was excited to have Linkages as a program focused on advocating the benefits of hiring people with disabilities to employers because advocacy work is at the heart of Direct’s mission.
Direct & Linkages Join Forces
DIRECT Center for Independence (DIRECT) and Linkages announce that they have joined forces to further grow their programs. The two nonprofit organizations worked collaboratively over the years and recently decided to consolidate administrative resources to help increase community impact.
