E-Scooters in the City of Tucson

A scooter is left on the side of the road blocking the walk way

Direct partnered with the Arizona Center for Disability Law (ACDL) to advocate to the City of Tucson about the issues and suggested changes for their e-scooter program. E-scooters are frequently left blocking sidewalks throughout the downtown, 4th Avenue, and U of A area. This can create a trip hazard for anyone, but absolutely creates barriers for people who use wheelchairs or other mobility devices, since often there is not enough room to travel safely. To learn more about this issue and our efforts read the full article from the ACDL.
