Reyna Romero
Lead Independent Living Advocate
Reyna administers Direct’s Self-Advocacy and Self-Determination program and oversees the coordination of communication access. She also is a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) and Certified Environmental Access Consultant (CEAC).
Reyna started her disability rights career in 2013 as the Linkages’ Receptionist where she learned about removing barriers for people with disabilities seeking employment.
She then expanded her advocacy knowledge by joining Direct Advocacy & Resource Center in 2019. Reyna has worked with many individuals to grow their own advocacy skills and advocated with others for modifications to live independently in their own homes.
During her free time, Reyna appreciates getting creative from painting to baking and everything in between.
